Soccer in the Streets offers several programs geared towards all age groups in a variety of formats...

Street-Box
|
In a Neighborhood Near You
|
|
Conducted in specially constructed, self-contained
soccer "boxes" in the community
Creating big fun in small spaces, the Street-Box program
addresses the key challenges of inner-city soccer. Specially
designed and constructed, self-contained soccer facilities
- about the size of two tennis courts - are placed in
the heart of selected neighborhoods, creating a magic
cauldron in which children and young adults create their
own soccer culture.

Positive-Choice
Soccer
|
School Year
|
|
Conducted at Street-Box facilities, Neighborhood
Schools or Community Centers
Using soccer as the "tool", Soccer In the StreetsŪ Positive-Choice
Soccer teaches inner city kids how to lead a more positive
life away from drugs, crime and violence. Through the
Positive-Choice curriculum, which was successfully
piloted in the Atlanta Public School system and the
Boys & Girls Club, the program uses trained staff and
volunteers to implement the physical, educational and
cultural enrichment activities related to the program.
Through participation in Positive-Choice soccer,
kids learn to chart a course for their life away from
unhealthy behavior, such as drug use and participation
in gangs, and towards a better education, career, and
healthier lifestyle and personal growth.
